In college, friends in Austin introduced me to artisan Chinese tea.

I was amazed to discover that, when flash-steeped, it could create rich, complex infusions with deep flavors and energizing effects—very similar to being tipsy with alcohol, but without any of the negative drawbacks!

Soon my passion for tea was ignited and I joined their venture as an early hire.

Working my way up to co-ownership while honing–in my own gong fu cha skills and becoming an expert in the world of Chinese tea.

As the business evolved into a lifestyle brand that could no longer support everyone, I saw an opportunity to forge my own path and created Higher Quality Tea Co. 

Helping to bring a fresh look to loose leaf tea! 

Now, through TeaXP, I’m reinventing the tea–experience with curated private events and exclusive access to artisan teas.
